C'mon - Billy Joel made a fortune with "Allentown"!

As I posted earlier, I was in Nazareth, PA today. I'd love to take some pics around town to share with a1275a to put on this video.

We could start with the motel across from the old Nazareth Speedway on PA 191...

Bill in Bucks County, PA

What a song. That said, I spend a lot of time in the Lehigh Valley every year, and to be honest, I have no idea why somebody would write a song about the place - haha!

I pulled into Nazareth this morning - but I wasn't feeling half-past dead! ;-)

Nazareth, PA is about 7 miles north of Bethlehem, and isn't that far from Allentown. It's the former home of a NASCAR track along PA 191 and PA 248.

i went to Lock Haven Univ, a couple hours from where videos were taken. my fave movie is "The Big Chill", and this is on the soundtrack, and in one of the best scenes. of course i think they are all great. my LH friends are my TBC friends, and this song always reminds me of them, and of course the film. "Are we the first ones up"?
