This isint rubbish , i think golf is rubbish but to some people it isint , its our choice to like it or not , just take you ugly remarks , and give them to someone who care's . yes you have your opinion , but we dont care , synchro is a excellent sport ! !

I have done synchro for, like four months now, and I already must say it MOST DEFINITELY IS A sport.

dude ive chilled w/ like 2 of those girls and been personally trained by a girl who swam and was tight with that team.

Hello, I guess you took my comment as being directed towards you since it came after your comment. However, I was addressing those people with the comments such as "it's not a sport", "synchro is lame", "it shouldn't be in the Olympics", etc. etc. I'm not going to say that I fully agree with you on all of your points, but we are all allowed to have our opinions. I loved the creativity displayed in the video. I do agree with you, on some points though...and was thinking there is a definate...

difference between old school synchro (synchro pre-early 90's) and what it has developed into. I learned synchro in the 80's where there was so much stress on proper positions, extension, strength, height, proper execution and figures. It does seem to me that some top athletes (ex: Russia) are not able to maintain double arms while eggbeatering. Too much splashing and sometimes lack of solid control. Younger athletes are being taught complicated moves and don't even have the extension down.

I'll try to make myself clear,the girls I have seen today work hard and are athletes, it's not their fault that they are in syncro right now that has degraded. I agree with you syncrodoll, and apologize for the misunderstanding between the athlete girls and synchro, which in my opinion is no longer a sport, it was at one time, synchro needs to change or evolve again. What I see performed is what I was taught what not to do. And since when does Russia dictate the future of Synchro?

A question I asked several coaches. It wasn't that long ago that Russia had no synchro. It took a good decade to have a top US team and Russia comes out of the woodworks and dictates how synchro should be. If the girls could swim the same routine without the splash, with control, strength, and complicated moves then synchro would be a beautiful sport.
